I first noticed it yesterday clicking a Wikipedia link, but only decided to check it out after clicking on Slant6's eBay posting.
The address bar briefly pops up before the redirection happens. I’m fine with disabling ad blocking on sites I want to support, but this is pretty sketchy.

I think it’s a Gawker/ Kinja thing. They get paid for page referrals to some sights or something.

Been noticing that for years. Haven’t bothered to figure out all the info on it.

I use “Ghostery”. It’s a browser extension that show’s you all of the tracking nonsense on whatever website and you can switch them off individually. It does occasionally cause problems with form submissions that involve pop up windows, but you can white list just like an ad blocker.

Thanks for the tip!
I'm not usually against ads and so forth, but I really don't like anything redirecting links.

Something like adf.ly, I think. It’s a bit harder to adblock these.

Yea I use it for monitoring purposes, but I only switch off trackers on sites that are really bad. I went crazy blocking everything when I first started using it and it did more harm than good. I couldn’t even Oppo.
